Printing done in three stages:
Pre-press → refers to the pre-printing work, generally refers to photography, design, production, typesetting, output film proofing, etc.;
Printing → refers to the work in the middle of printing, the process of printing the finished product through the printing press;
After printing, refers to the work of late printing, generally refers to the post-processing of printed matter, including glue (film),
UV, oil, beer, bronzing, convex, papering, etc., mostly used for packaging printing matter.
Printing is a copy technology of the original graphic information. Its major feature is that the graphic information on the
original manuscript can be reproduced in a large number and economically on a variety of substrates. It can be said that the
finished product can also be widely circulated and preserved, which is the film, television, photography and other copy
technology can not be compared with it.
The production of printed matter generally goes through five technological processes such as the selection or design of the
original manuscript, the original production, the printing plate drying, printing and post-printing processing. That is to say,
first select or design the original manuscript suitable for printing, and then process the graphic information of the original
manuscript to produce the original version for printing or engraving plate (generally called the positive or negative picture
negative), and then use the original version to produce the plate for printing, the plate is installed on the printing machine,
and the ink system is used to apply the ink on the surface of the plate, and the pressure is pressurized by the pressure machine.
The ink is transferred from the printing plate to the substrate, so that a large number of copies, after post-printing processing,
will be adapted to various purposes of use of finished products. Now, people often the original design, graphic information
processing, plate-making collectively referred to as pre-press processing, and the process of transferring the ink on the plate to
the substrate is called printing, the completion of such a printed matter needs to go through pre-press processing, printing,
post-press processing and other processes.
